KAMRA Vision, with their groundbreaking KAMRA inlay technology has introduced a new surgical procedure to treat presbyopia, the loss of vision related to reading. We are proud to announce that this new procedure is now available at Chicago Cornea Consultants™.

KAMRA Inlay Candidates

The eye loses the ability to focus on close objects in patients over the age of 40, this is known as presbyopia, and is a natural eye condition.

This is an out patient procedure and can help reduce the dependency on reading glasses. The KAMRA inlay is much smaller than a contact lens, and is 1/10th the thickness of a piece of paper.

How the KAMRA Inlay Works

This procedure consists of implanting a small corneal inlay within the patients cornea. The KAMRA VISION procedure maintains good distance vision, while restoring near and intermediate vision. It has proven to be stable and long lasting, and can be removed if need be.

The KAMRA inlay has been implanted in more than 15,000 patients, and is the only FDA procedure that is approved for presbyopia.
