Dr. Brian D. Doyle, O.D. is an Illinois native and was raised in Naperville. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Afterward, he moved to Chicago where he studied optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry. Following graduation, he completed a postdoctoral residency focused on the treatment and management of ocular diseases at the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center. There he lectured on eye disease management and assisted in the clinical education and training of optometric students.
Dr. Doyle’s main area of professional interest is the diagnosis and medical management of ocular diseases including diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. Upon completion of his residency, he received certification from the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry.
He is active within the profession of optometry as a member of the Illinois Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
When not caring for his patients, Dr. Doyle enjoys staying physically active by playing basketball and golf. He’s a big fan of all the Chicago sports teams and enjoys watching games in his free time. He enjoys spending time with loved ones and exploring new restaurants around the city.
