LASIK eye surgery

LASIK vision correction surgery is a permanent solution for mild to moderate cases of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Previously, some patients were apprehensive about LASIK surgery due to the cornea being "cut." However, the bladeless Intralase method, also known as iLASIK, is now used to perform the treatment.

Cataracts

Millions of Americans with cataracts experience a cloudy, blurry world that is difficult to navigate. At Chicago Cornea Consultants, we use the latest innovative technology and techniques to correct cataracts, ensuring maximum comfort and results for our patients.

Intraocular lenses

For patients who are not candidates for LASIK due to more severe hyperopia, myopia, cataracts, or eye irregularities, intraocular lenses may offer an excellent alternative. We work with a range of customized IOLs, including Alcon Panoptix Trifocal IOLs, TECNIS Multifocal IOLs, andToric Multifocal IOLs.

Cornea and keratoconus treatment

At Chicago Cornea Consultants, we provide quality care using advanced technology and treatments for keratoconus. Corneal cross-linking is used to slow the progression of keratoconus and possibly eliminate the need for a corneal transplant. Endothelial keratoplasty removes only the inner layer of the cornea and can treat conditions like Fuchs’ corneal dystrophy, corneal edema, or failed corneal transplants.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma diagnosis involves a complete eye exam, intraocular pressure measurements, cornea thickness determinations, and more. Glaucoma can be managed with eye drops, laser procedures, or MIGS, which involves inserting a microscopic device into the eye to lower eye pressure. Kahook Dual Blade Goniotomy can also be used to remove tissue and improve fluid flow.

BOTOX

BOTOX is simple to inject, and each session takes about ten minutes. The injections temporarily relax dynamic facial muscles, softening or eliminating fine lines and wrinkles. Results last about three months, and treatment can be repeated as desired. The procedure has no downtime or side effects.

Contact lenses

Chicago Cornea Consultants offers exceptional eye care, including contact lenses. By using the latest technology, materials, and designs to meet our patients' visual and ocular health needs, we exceed expectations at every juncture. Visiting the Tri-Taylor neighborhood in Chicago

Tri-Taylor is a charming neighborhood located about a mile west of Chicago's Little Italy. It is a historically significant region of the city named after its main thoroughfare, Taylor Street, and the triangular shape of its boundaries. Tri-Taylor has a rich history that dates back to the late 1800s, when it served as one of Chicago's gateways to Italian immigration. Today, it is a diverse and vibrant community that offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities.

One of the best aspects of Tri-Taylor is its architecture. The neighborhood is home to over 400 distinct and eye-catching buildings. Their designs are notable for the frequent use of applied decorative elements uncommon elsewhere in Chicago. These buildings are a testament to the neighborhood's rich history and add to its unique character. Another great aspect of Tri-Taylor is its proximity to some of Chicago's best attractions.

The neighborhood is just a short drive from downtown Chicago, which means visitors have easy access to some of the city's best museums, restaurants, and shopping districts. The neighborhood is also home to several parks, including Claremont Park and Livingston Park, which offer plenty of green space for outdoor recreation.
