Dr. Douglas Kaplan (pictured above) recently attended the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in San Francisco. He also participated in both the Refractive Surgery and Cornea Sub-specialty Day sessions. He recently took part in the annual meeting of the Illinois Secretary of State’s Medical Advisory Board Meeting, where he proposed that Driver’s License requirements incorporate vertical visual field functioning in addition to horizontal (left/right) fields. He is assisting in the process of revising these state licensure regulations.
