Dr. Charles A. Faron, O.D. is a Chicago native. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO).
Making a Difference
He has lectured extensively on subjects including ocular inflammation, neurological eye disease, and contact lens care. His main areas of professional interest are primary eye care, post-op management of surgical patients, and specialty contact lenses for a corneal transplant and keratoconus patients. Dr. Faron is also involved in numerous clinical and ocular drug trials. Dr. Faron has had articles published in professional journals.
He is an active member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Faron is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He has been appointed as an Adjunct Faculty Assistant Professor of Optometry at ICO and assists in the clinical training of optometry students. He is also an active participant in the ICO mentorship program. Dr. Faron is dedicated to the profession of optometry and serving his patients. He currently resides in Downers Grove and enjoys reading, listening to and playing music in his spare time.
