She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and trained at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Following graduation, she completed a residency at the Illinois College of Optometry, specializing in corneal diseases and contact lenses.

As a contact lens specialist, Dr. Malooley is experienced in fitting gas permeable, hybrid, scleral, and soft lenses for patients with post-surgical, ocular surface disease, keratoconus, bifocal, or otherwise difficult-to-fit prescriptions. In addition, she fits prosthetic or cosmetic contact lenses for disfigured eyes. Dr. Malooley is a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive Technologies Section of the American Academy of Optometry. In addition, she is also a fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society and a member of both the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Malooley is actively involved in training optometric students and residents and serves as an adjunct Assistant Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in the Department of Community-Based Education. She also enjoys lecturing and serves as a member of the Gas Permeable Lens Institute advisory committee. In her spare time, Dr. Malooley enjoys playing a wide variety of sports, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two children.
