Dr. Epstein recently became one of the first surgeons on the North Shore to perform cataract surgery using the Alcon “LensX” laser. This technique allows for greater incision precision during cataract surgery, including the treatment of astigmatism, and has been approved by the FDA for this indication. We anticipate that more elements of both cataract and corneal surgery will be performed using this new laser technology.
