Dr. Faron, Dr. Andrezejewski, and Dr. Malooley recently attended the American Academy of Optometry meeting in New Orleans. This particular meeting of the AAO was primarily centered on the growing popularity of NaturalVue and Acuvue Oasys 1-Day contact lenses. It was interesting to learn about the rapidly growing popularity of 1-Day contact lenses, and the focus companies are putting on R&D to improve on these lenses.
Dr. Tiffany Andrezejewski and Dr. Malooley presented a lecture of their own titled, “What’s New in Anterior Segment Surgery?,” and it discussed Femtosecond Laser Cataract Surgery, Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK), Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK), KAMRA Inlay, and Implantable Miniature Telescope (IMT).
The AAO meeting was, as always, a great opportunity to learn what other professionals in our Medical field are doing and to share our own expertise amongst peers.
